2020 Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster projection after training camp

Running Backs (5): Josh Jacobs, Jalen Richard, Lynn Bowden Jr., Devontae Booker, Alec Ingold

A team carrying five running backs may be a bit of a surprise, but you can think of Lynn Bowden Jr. as half running back and half wide receiver given his versatility. Bowden played slot wide receiver at Kentucky when he was not playing quarterback, so the Raiders may use him there until he is more comfortable at running back.

Josh Jacobs, Jalen Richard, and Alec Ingold are the holdovers from 2019, with Jacobs due for another incredible year after his impressive rookie campaign. Richard is the team’s go-to receiving back and there has been plenty of talk about Ingold’s expanded role as a pass catcher and the team’s short yardage back.

Devontae Booker is a bit of a surprise, but he can contribute on special teams as he did in Denver, and can step in to start if necessary. If Jacobs has to miss some time the Raiders would be better off leaning on Booker than overworking the smaller Richard.
