Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals
The Los Angeles Chargers will get the first look at new Cincinnati Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow, who will be the only rookie starting quarterback in Week 1. Burrow had a magical season at LSU last year, going undefeated in the regular season, winning a national title, and taking home the Heisman Trophy.
At the pro level, he will not have it as easy as he did with the Tigers, and a solid Chargers defense is going to do enough on Sunday to frustrate the young signal-caller. Burrow likely has a solid NFL career ahead of him, and the Bengals do have a nice running back in Joe Mixon, but winning in your NFL debut as a rookie is never an easy task.
Tyrod Taylor takes over for Philip Rivers under center in 2020 for the Bolts, who recently inked star wide receiver Keenan Allen to a long-term deal. He will be able to make plays against this Bengals secondary, and a tough front for the Chargers should be able to get to Burrow on more than one occasion.
