The Silver and Black head to Carolina to take on the Panthers in the first game of the season as they look to win their first game as the “Las Vegas Raiders”.

The Las Vegas Raiders made vast improvements to the roster this off season, adding speed and depth to the wide receiver group, completely restructuring the linebacker room, and adding some crafty veterans to both sides of the ball. On Saturday, they were able to get their roster down to 53 men, making some shocking cuts, and trades along the way.

Both the offense and defense should be considerably younger and faster than in 2019, and the Raiders have the ability to have a big first season in Vegas. Although there will be no fans in attendance, the Raiders look to start off this new era of Raiders football right, as they will have to defeat Christian McCaffrey and the Carolina Panthers to do so.

Carolina has been through a lot of changes this offseason as well, including bringing in a new head coach and quarterback. They are expected to challenge in what should be a very tough NFC South this season, and are looking to get off to a fast start against a young Raiders defense.

Will the new look Raiders be too much for the Panthers, or will Teddy Bridgewater prove why the Panthers took a risk on him?
