It’s the beginning of an era as the Las Vegas Raiders travel to face the new-look Carolina Panthers in Week 1. Here are three things to watch for in the season opener.

NFL fans can rejoice as Week 1 will mark the beginning of football, and it’s here to stay until February. For the Las Vegas Raiders, Sunday marks a new era in the franchise’s history as they travel to face the new-look Carolina Panthers. Las Vegas has been consistently pegged as one of the teams to keep an eye on, and with new weapons on both sides of the ball, the Raiders could be primed to turn some heads this season.

A win to start the season is the best type of momentum, and Las Vegas will look to notch their first win at the expense of the Panthers, who welcome a multitude of new faces with the likes of head coach Matt Rhule and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Still, Carolina has an unparalleled weapon in Pro Bowl running back Christian McCaffrey.

Whether it be Las Vegas’ youth on display or the new additions on defense there will be plenty to keep an eye on come Sunday afternoon, and they will all be essential to a Raiders’ victory.
