Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 1 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Start Em

We can probably keep this section short every week by saying you should start Josh Jacobs every week, because he is that type of player but let’s dive in to why he especially deserves it this week. Jacobs is being touted as one of the top players in fantasy this year and is being regularly swooped up the first round or spent big on in fantasy drafts.

He had a terrific rookie season and finished 14th overall in points scored despite playing just 13 games.

There has been talk all summer of Jacobs being utilized more in the passing game so that is great news for his owners, especially in a PPR format. Add to this that Carolina was 32nd against the run in 2019, and lost many key players to free agency makes a big day for the former Alabama back very likely.

Jalen Richard – Sit Em

Jalen Richard was the 66th highest scoring fantasy back in 2019 and he did so almost exclusively as a third down back. He is one of Derek Carr’s favorite targets, but his volume so far has not suggested that he is worthy of a place in your starting group or even your roster.

This could change if you are in a monster 16-team league and need a guy that has decent PPR potential he may be a worthwhile addition.
