Las Vegas Raiders at Carolina Panthers: 5 bold predictions

Bold Prediction #2: Derek Carr throws 3 TDs to 3 Different Players

Derek Carr has a lot of weapons this year and the receiving corps looks to be much more explosive with the additions of Henry Ruggs III, Bryan Edwards, and Nelson Agholor. In addition, Zay Jones was working out with Carr all summer, and Jon Gruden felt he may have had the best camp of anyone.

On Sunday, Carr is going to look to get everyone involved, and will be spreading the wealth around, much like he always does. If I had to guess, he is going to throw three touchdowns to three different players, and those guys will be Darren Waller, Ruggs, and Jacobs.

Bold Prediction #3: Defense forces 3 turnovers

This may not seem all that bold but T=the Raiders defense intercepted nine passes and recovered only six fumbles for a grand total of 15 turnovers last season.  That’s not a recipe for success at any level of football, let alone the NFL.

The youth movement that’s taking over this defense is going to reinvigorate this team, and with the additions of some of the most talented linebackers this team has seen for a few decades now, I feel a new positive energy is going to fuel this defense to their best performance in years. Cory Littleton single-handedly terrorized this team last year as a member of the Los Angeles Rams, and I see him doing that again on Sunday.
