Las Vegas Raiders: JustBlogBaby Staff predictions for the 2020 NFL season

Brad Weiss, Site Expert

The offseason was kind to the Raiders franchise, as their brand new building was built, and along with it, so was their 2020 roster. Mike Mayock dominated free agency, bringing in some defensive players that will anchor the defense this season in defensive tackle Maliek Collins and linebackers Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski.

In addition, the Raiders will be getting Johnathan Abram back on that side of the ball after missing nearly his entire rookie season, and he and Trayvon Mullen will lead a secondary on the rise. On offense, the two rookie wide receivers will be must-watch television, as both can go up and make acrobatic catches, and they instantly improve a position group that was an issue this past season.

The early season schedule is tough, as they will face Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes within their first six games. However, I like them to navigate tough waters early, just as they did last season, and do not expect them to falter down the stretch like they did a year ago.

4 Carolina Panthers the Las Vegas Raiders should worry about in Week 1. dark. Next

Overall, this is going to be an exciting year, and it all starts tomorrow on the road against Carolina. If the Raiders get the Derek Carr we have seen all summer, playing with a chip on his shoulder and tired of the disrespect, they have enough talent around him on both sides of the ball to be one of the seven AFC playoff teams in 2020.

Prediction: 10-6
