Las Vegas Raiders at Carolina Panthers: 3 Things We Learned

Wins that make you Grey

All of the Raiders’ seven wins in 2019 were decided by eight points or less, which no doubt kept fans on the edge of their seats. That’s not something you want to feel every Sunday, but that might be the case again in 2020 with so many competitive teams early in the schedule.

It’s only Week 1, but the Raiders weren’t able to put away the Carolina Panthers after having a 12-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. And head coach Jon Gruden does have a tendency to sit on the leads, which showed a bit today as he played it very conservative on the drive after the Panthers cut it to 27-22.

Hopefully, the Raiders will learn to put away teams as the season goes on, but if not, Raiders fans may need to look up some relaxation exercises. It won’t get any easier Monday night, because if you remember the last time the Raiders and Saints got together for a battle, it went down to the wire.
