The AFC West will see their first inter-divisional battle in Week 2, as the Chargers play host to the Chiefs. Las Vegas hosts NO on MNF.
The AFC West as a division went 3-1 in Week 1, as it was only the Denver Broncos who could not take care of business. Kansas City kicked off the NFL slate with a victory over the Houston Texans, and look very prepared to defend their Super Bowl title. Los Angeles and Las Vegas came away with close victories on the road.
Here are the predictions for Week 2 of the NFL slate for the AFC West.
Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers
Both of these teams played on Monday night, though they each had a very different outcome. The Denver Broncos were unable to overcome the loss of Courtland Sutton and K.J. Hamler in their passing game, and without Von Miller, the pass rush struggled at times.
Pittsburgh, on the other hand, went into MetLife Stadium and dominated the New York Giants, as Ben Roethlisberger looks fully healthy for the first time in a long time. Benny Snell played well in relief of James Conner, rushing for over 100 yards in the contest.
Sunday, these two teams will battle it out, and both have legitimate playoff aspirations in 2020. That means this contest could have major ramifications down the line, so expect this to be a hard-fought battle. In the end, the Steelers are just the better team, and their experience wins out.
