Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: Week 2 Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs – Start ‘Em

Josh Jacobs was the star of the show as Jon Gruden made sure to ride his star running back all the way to the promised land in Week 1. Jacobs accounted for 139 yards and three touchdowns for a whopping 36 points by most scoring methods. He lead the Raiders to victory and his fantasy owners probably won Week 1 too.

The Saints did a great job of shutting down the Tampa Bay backs to less than 75 yards rushing, but none of them are as talented as Jacobs so start him without worry. Gruden will keep feeding him and even if the Raiders fall behind early he will make his mark in the passing game as well.

Devontae Booker – Sit ‘Em

Devontae Booker makes his debut here after a game that saw him get seven touches and show some ability to make plays after the catch. He was on the field for just eight plays, but he has serious handcuff potential if Jacobs has to miss time. Booker is not worth starting in any leagues, but Jacobs owners should stash him just in case.

Jalen Richard – Sit ‘Em

Jalen Richard was anonymous in Week 1, as he was out-snapped by Booker, and saw only target in the passing game. Maybe it was because the Raiders were ahead for most of the game but he made no impact whatsoever. You can safely ignore him on the waiver wire for now.
