New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 players to watch in Week 2

Trent Brown

Trent Brown is one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL, and would be the best on the Raiders were it not for a certain all-world center. Unfortunately, no matter how good Brown is, he can only make an impact on games when he is on the field.  He missed some time in 2019 after being placed on injured reserve to end the season and his 2020 season is off to a tough start.

Brown was questionable all week and when it came time to play, he was in the starting lineup but ended up taking part in just three snaps. His replacement, Sam Young, came in to the game in relief of Brown and even he had to come out of the game due to injury. Luckily for the Raiders, the Panthers don’t have much of a pass rush after losing most of their sack artists from 2019 but the same can’t be said of the Saints.

They harassed Brady all afternoon and racked up 3 sacks and 6 QB hits in Week 1 and never let him find a rhythm until the game was out of reach. If the Raiders are going to keep Derek Carr‘s jersey clean and open up holes for Josh Jacobs, Trent Brown needs to be in the lineup.
