Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2

Alec Ingold

The Saints have not allowed a 100-yard rusher in 44 games, which spells bad news for the Raiders offense. Jon Gruden is going to be feeding Josh Jacobs the ball all game on Monday Night, but what will be the difference between the Raiders and other team?

Alec Ingold.

The Raiders not only have a top tier offensive line that helps separate the Raiders rushing attack from everyone else, they also are one of the few teams that utilize a fullback to open holes and block for their runner. Since making the team as an undrafted free agent last Summer, Ingold and Jacobs have become the best of friends, and that has translated to some dominant work between the white lines.

The Saints have great players all over their defense, so an elite lead blocker could be the difference between gaining that extra yard or not. If Jacobs breaks 100 yards against the Saints, it will be in big part because of Ingold, and I like the second-year back’s chances of breaking this Saints streak in primetime.
