Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2

Nicholas Morrow

With Nick Kwiatkoski out of the game, the Raiders will have to find someone else to be the leader of the defense. Kwiatkoski has yet to practice this week, but defensive coordinator Paul Guenther said on Friday that he ‘looks great,’ so we will have to see what his gametime status is.

In the future, the player who should step in for Kwiatkoski be Raekwon McMillan, but he likely has not been around the team long enough to be trusted with this role. Wearing the green dot in Guenther’s system is a huge responsibility, and McMillan barely saw the field in the team’s Week 1 victory over Carolina.

The defense will likely run through Nicholas Morrow on Sunday, as he has been in the system for a couple of years now. Morrow stepped in against the Panthers on Sunday and did a fine job, and I would expect him to be even more prepared on Monday. They are going to need his best game as a pro if he does get the start.
