New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 bold predictions in Week 2

Derek Carr throws 3 touchdowns

The Raiders’ thrilling win back in 2016 over the Saints was highlighted by Derek Carr throwing for 319 yards and a touchdown in the victory, capped by the memorable play of him flipping over a defender in pursuit of a first down. That performance catapulted his MVP-caliber season, and Carr will need to channel that same fire to get a victory Monday night.

Last week it was the Josh Jacobs show, rushing for three touchdowns and making an inferior Panthers’ defense pay for their mistakes. This week, against a more capable Saints team, it has to be Derek Carr directing the offense and potentially matching Drew Brees’ passing attack. Alongside strategic playcalling from Jon Gruden, Carr can achieve that goal.

Derek Carr goes toe-to-toe with Drew Brees on Monday night, leveraging all the weapons he has at his disposal and throws for three touchdowns to open Allegiant Stadium on primetime television.
