New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 bold predictions in Week 2

Raiders defense gets two turnovers

Las Vegas has faith in the youth movement on defense, and the Raiders are investing heavily in the young secondary. The lack of a preseason inevitably leads to some growing pains as the season moves on, and that was evident in Week 1 when the Panthers were able to move the ball with ease, especially in the first half.

This defense will need to make incremental progress week to week, and the same goes for their matchup with the Saints. New Orleans went without a turnover in their Week 1 win over Tampa Bay, but Las Vegas cannot afford Drew Brees and their offense to get in rhythm easily. Turnovers will be key in allowing the Raiders’ offense to take advantage of favorable field position.

Even with no fans, Las Vegas’ defense makes a stand and registers not one but two turnovers against New Orleans, matching the Raiders effort on offense and holding their own in Allegiant Stadium’s debut.
