Las Vegas Raiders: JustBlogBaby staff predictions vs. New Orleans Saints

Pete Hernandez, Contributor

We all remember what happened the last time these two teams matched up against each other, and could we be in for a sequel come Monday night? Both teams come in at 1-0 and both teams have respective injuries that could prove significant.

New Orleans is the heavy favorite (81% according to ESPN) and for good reason, they boast a more well-rounded offense and superior defense compared to Las Vegas’ opponent last week.

The absence of Michael Thomas could prove to be a game-changer, and as long as the defense can step up and force a few three-and-outs (early on as well) I’m confident that this Raiders offense can at the very least go toe-to-toe with Drew Brees (Ruggs’ health will be key to monitor nonetheless).

It’s Monday Night Football, it’s the debut of Allegiant Stadium, and I say Las Vegas beats the spread and moves to 2-0 on the season.

Prediction: Raiders 31, Saints 30
