New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 things we learned in Week 2

The Defense is Improving

Although Las Vegas ended the game with zero sacks, the defensive line was a little more disruptive, and forced Brees into a couple of incompletions and an interception. It wasn’t a pretty start after allowing big play after big play in the first quarter and getting down 10-0 to start the game.

As the game went on, the defense was more stout, and only allowed one second quarter and garbage time touchdown playing soft defense while up 14.  Also, these young defensive backs the Raiders have are going to be really good, and they all showed they can step up when it counts.

Damon Arnette had a couple of good open field tackles, and other than the touchdown to Jared Cook Trayvon Mullen was his usual shut down self, and Johnathan Abram was all over the place once again laying the smack down on the Saints all night. Brees is one of the better quarterbacks of all time, and overall, the defense as a whole did a nice job making him look a bit washed in this one.
