Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 3 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Wide Receivers

Henry Ruggs – Sit ‘Em

Henry Ruggs is an enigma at this point as he followed up a decent debut with 65 total yards against the Panthers with a near zero against the Saints. Ruggs was targeted 3 times and made just 1 catch for 4 yards. He and Carr are just not connecting on those deep shots and Gruden didn’t give him the ball on one of those jet sweeps or bubble screens as we expected against New Orleans.

Right now we will be taking a wait and see approach on Ruggs as he is getting plenty of snaps but is not making an impact on the stat sheet. He was massive in drawing defensive attention and a defensive pass interference that won the game but it has not translated in to stats just yet.

Bryan Edwards – Sit ‘Em

Bryan Edwards showed off some of his potential against the Saints with 2 catches for 42 yards that both came off huge runs after the catch that both resulted in first downs. He is the Raiders’ biggest receiver by some margin and may be targeted for some jump balls in the end zone but for now he can stay stashed on your bench or the waiver wire.

Hunter Renfrow – Sit ‘Em

Unless you’re desperate for a five or six point performance from your FLEX, you can keep Hunter Renfrow out your starting lineup. Renfrow made some clutch catches for the Raiders to keep drives alive as 2 of his 3 receptions were for first downs but he will need to see more targets to be relevant in fantasy.

Nelson Agholor and Zay Jones – Sit ‘Em

If you combined Nelson Agholor and Zay Jones in to one receiver they still would not have had a great fantasy game as they combined for 2 receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown. Both of them are trying to establish themselves as reliable targets and both made big plays for the Raiders but they are not on the field enough to get consideration here.
