Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 3 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

Defense and Special Teams

Daniel Carlson – Start ‘Em

Daniel Carlson was one of the stars of the game for the Raiders as he booted a 54-yarder that sealed the game for good on Monday night. He had an identical 4-4 on extra points and 2-2 on field goals in Week 2 as he did in Week 1 and he is brimming with confidence.

Kicking in Foxboro is a different proposition than kicking indoors but it should be a lovely 80-degree day on Sunday so start him with confidence against a solid Patriots defense.

Las Vegas Raiders Defense – Sit ‘Em

The Raiders defense is still very much a work in progress and despite harassing Drew Brees all night and forcing several holding calls, they didn’t actually sack him and have just one sack through two games. They had trouble containing Teddy Bridgewater in the pocket and next up is a QB that may be the most difficult in the NFL to bring down.

Next. Raiders: Derek Carr inching closer to Ken Stabler’s touchdown record. dark

Cam Newton is on an absolute tear on the ground and through the air and the Raiders defense as currently constructed, does not have the talent to slow him or the Patriots offense down. The Raiders defense is very much a waiver wire plug and play type unit right now so keep them on the waiver wire for the foreseeable future.
