Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots: Game preview and prediction

Game Prediction

It is never an easy task to go to the East coast and win a game, but the Raiders proved they can do it in Week 1 against a pesky Carolina Panthers team. The problem in Week 3 is that they will be playing on a short week after playing on Monday night, and will have to go up against a Bill Belichick-led defense.

Still, I actually like the Raiders in this game, as they are the more talented team on both sides of the ball. Derek Carr is playing lights out right now, and if Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller are healthy enough to go, they have not practiced all week, they have the weapons on that side of the ball to move the ball against New England.

Next. Raiders need a big game from rookie John Simpson against the Patriots. dark

The biggest worry is Cam Newton, who Jon Gruden referred to as a “power forward playing quarterback.” If they can get to him early, he can be rattled, and will be forced into making mistakes, but Las Vegas needs a better pass rush than they have showed in the first two games.

Prediction: Raiders 28, Patriots 24
