3 free agents the Las Vegas Raiders should call right now

Earl Thomas

Johnathan Abram is a fine young safety, and has proven during his short time at the NFL level that he plays with heart, and passion. While that is great, and he is an exciting player to watch, he has also been nicked up a bunch, including missing 15 games as a rookie, and already spraining his AC joint and chipping his shoulder blade this season.

While Abram has played through the pain this year, he needs help at the safety spot, as it is clear that Erik Harris should be more of a depth guy back there. The Raiders should make a call to All-Pro safety Earl Thomas, who would be an excellent guy to play alongside Abram, giving the team two players at safety that would form one of the best tandems in the game.

Abram has issues tackling on Sunday against the Patriots, and he could still be reeling from the injury sustained when he it the camera cart against the New Orleans Saints. Thomas would be a guy who would come in and be one of the best players on this defense right away, and with some elite quarterbacks on the horizon, this secondary needs to be fixed ASAP.
