3 free agents the Las Vegas Raiders should call right now
Larry Warford
Sure, Larry Warford has stated that he planned to sit out the 2020 NFL season due to COVID-19, but he did that when he was not on a roster, so the right team may be able to change his mind. His opt-out is reversable, and with the Raiders, he would find a nice landing spot on one of the better offensive lines in football.
With Richie Incognito in IR, the Raiders have had to turn to rookie John Simpson, and while he has looked good at times, he is not ready to be a full-time starter at the NFL level. Warford was once one of the better offensive guards in the NFL, made the Pro Bowl last season, and is still only 29-years old.
Simpson is a kid who is going to play a big role in the future of this franchise, but Belichick took advantage of his inexperience on Sunday, and he certainly looked like a player making his first NFL start. Incognito will return, but with some solid defensive front coming up in the next few weeks, the Raiders may not be able to sit back and roll with the rookie.
