The Las Vegas Raiders lost handily to the New England Patriots, here are the players that stood out for the right and wrong reasons.

It was a difficult afternoon for the Las Vegas Raiders, as they faced a smart and physical New England Patriots squad and were soundly defeated. The Raiders had to make a cross country trip on a short week and play in that dreaded 1 PM Eastern time slot that has tripped up so many West Coast teams over the years.

Add to this that the team may have been a little too confident after their big win on Monday Night Football, and perhaps even emotionally spent from the release of winning their first game in Allegiant Stadium. New England was on the opposite side of the spectrum, as they came up literally inches short against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night, and were eager to put the disappointment of that loss behind them.

Regardless of the reasons why the Raiders lost, there are still plenty of things to be excited about, and after Week 3 they are over .500, something we should not be taking for granted. The first six games of the Raiders 2020 schedule are a tough gauntlet, so to be standing at 2-1 heading home is nothing to be ashamed of.

In trying to put a positive spin on what was a comprehensive loss, let’s check out the studs and duds from the Week 3 loss in New England.
