Abram’s shoulder a cause for concern
One of the more exciting players entering the 2020 season was safety Johnathan Abram, who saw his rookie season cut short due to a shoulder injury in 2019. What we did see last year was an Alpha that can patrol the middle of the Raiders secondary, and he certainly looked the part through the first two games this season.
Unfortunately, Abram ran into a TV cart during the Raiders win against the Saints, and suffered a sprained AC joint, and a chipped collarbone. He played through the injury, and practiced in full all week, showing the kind of toughness and grit that has already made him a fan favorite of the franchise.
In Week 3, after a big interception early on, Abram made a ton of mistakes, and it could have been due to the fact he was coming off a serious injury in a short week. They cannot afford to have him overpursue and miss tackles against the Bills, because Buffalo has too many weapons on the offensive side of the ball.
