The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Kansas City to open their AFC West slate in Week 5, as Derek Carr looks for his first road win against the Chiefs.
It is Week 5 of the 2020 NFL season, and as was expected, the Kansas City Chiefs sit alone atop the AFC West division. Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have been steamrolling their competition outside of a close win against Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
As we head into the weekend, let us take a look at the division matchups, and how we feel each game will pan out.
Los Angeles Chargers at New Orleans Saints (MNF)
This is the Drew Brees Game, as the future Hall of Famer will lead his current team against the franchise that drafted him, the Chargers. This week, the Chargers made the announcement that Justin Herbert would remain the starting quarterback even when Tyrod Taylor is healthy, as he has shown he can certainly make big plays at the NFL level.
Now that Herbert is the starter, the Chargers have their franchise guy moving forward, and it has been a seamless transition from Brees, to Philip Rivers, and now to Herbert. Looking at this matchup on Sunday, the Chargers will need every bit of Herbert’s playmaking ability if they are going to beat a Saints team that is trending in the right direction.
Prediction: Saints 30, Chargers 23
