Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: 3 Things to Watch In Week 5

Jon Gruden’s Aggressiveness

Every fan will agree that the Raiders should’ve gone for it on 4th and 2 from the seven-yard line in the first half of last week’s game against the Bills. Although it didn’t end up costing the Raiders the game with the second half getting away from the team, I hope it made Gruden realize that touchdowns need to be put on the scoreboard not field goals.

The Raiders defense is struggling in a big way, and any time you get close you have to try and get the six points. Against a team like Kansas City, settling for field goals is not going to get it done, as Patrick Mahomes has the talent, and the weapons to go down the field and score at will at any time.

Late in the fourth quarter of the Bills game, head coach Sean McDermott decided to go for it on 4th and short, and with a good play call, converted helping them put the game away.  Gruden needs to come out with that same type of aggressiveness in this game against the Chiefs or this game could get away from them quickly.
