The Las Vegas Raiders head into Arrowhead Stadium as undisputed underdogs as they face the Kansas City Chiefs. Here are three bold predictions for Sunday’s AFC West rivalry matchup.

Sunday marks another chapter in the storied rivalry between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs, with the Silver and Black heading into Arrowhead Stadium with a new city attached to their name. But make no mistake, even as they enter as the ‘Las Vegas’ Raiders, these two teams head into the matchup once again on similar ends of the spectrum: one a heavy favorite and the other the undisputed underdog.

Per ESPN’s matchup predictor for Week 5, the Chiefs enter as 82 percent favorites to the Raiders’ 18 percent, and for good reason. Kansas City is 4-0, looking like they haven’t missed a beat since last season, while the Raiders enter at 2-2, coming in relatively banged up and off a Week 4 loss where they damaged themselves more often than their opponent.

Still, 2-2 is a much better scenario to be in rather than 1-3 or 0-4, which many predicted Las Vegas to be at this point in the schedule. Playing in Arrowhead has historically been an obstacle for Derek Carr during his Raiders tenure, and as he said himself, the Raiders need to get a few wins themselves in order to really call this matchup a “rivalry.”

In this league and especially during this season, any upsets can happen, and the same goes for Sunday’s game with the Chiefs. Las Vegas will likely need some luck to go their way along with executing a gameplan to perfection but to give the Chiefs their first loss of the season will require some strong performances in Week 5.
