Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: 3 bold predictions in Week 5

Darren Waller catches two touchdowns

It’s a battle of two of the NFL’s best tight ends in Darren Waller against Travis Kelce, and for the Las Vegas to pull off the huge upset, they undoubtedly need to get one of their top two weapons involved early and often on Sunday. It’s the worst kept secret that Kansas City’s defense will key in on Waller, but Jon Gruden needs to get creative with his playcalling and Derek Carr needs to give Waller the chance to make a plan. Make no mistake, it’s a joint effort.

After a rough outing last week where Waller lost a key fumble that ultimately negated all the momentum heading in Las Vegas’ favor, Week 5 can be a bounce-back week for the star tight end. While he accumulated 88 receiving yards last week, Waller has only found the endzone once: back in Week 2 against the Saints.

On the road in Arrowhead Stadium, Darren Waller connects with Derek Carr twice and hauls in two receiving touchdowns against Kansas City. It’s unacceptable to have one of your best weapons be shut out, and Sunday can’t be a repeat performance of the past.
