Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs Week 5: Game preview and prediction

Game Preview

Derek Carr said it the best when he stated this week that in order for this to be a rivalry, the Raiders are going to have to start winning some of these games. In his seventh year as the starter or the Raiders, Carr has posted a 2-10 record against the Chiefs, and has never beaten them inside Arrowhead Stadium.

The hope is that all of that can change this weekend, but it is not like they are playing a Chiefs team that is trending in the wrong direction. In fact, they are once again one of the best teams in the league, and many experts’ pick as the team that will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl once again.

Carr and the offense have not been the issue for the Raiders, although they could cut down on the fumbles, but it has been the defense that has been atrocious. The revamped unit has allowed 30 or more points in three of the Raiders four games this season, and really are not getting anything out of big free agents Maliek Collins and Cory Littleton.
