Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs: 5 things we learned
Nelson Agholor was the signing of the summer for the Raiders
As good as the Raiders offense has been with Henry Ruggs on the field, they have a decent wide receiver opposite him in Nelson Agholor. The former Philadelphia Eagle was a low key signing for the Raiders as he signed a one-year $1 million contract after a difficult year and a tumultuous end to his time in the NFC.
Agholor has been another deep threat for the Raiders and he absolutely torched two Kansas City defensive backs on his 59-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He is currently on pace for his best season since 2018 and already has a brilliant connection with Derek Carr. The former USC Trojan has filled in incredibly well for the injured Bryan Edwards and he may not relinquish his starting place once the rookie is back to full health.
For the money they are paying him, Agholor has been incredibly valuable and is on track to hit career highs in touchdowns and yards per reception. He may not get the same volume of targets as he did in his days in Philadelphia but he is doing much more with less and has become an incredible weapon for this Raider offense.
