Tyrell Williams, Wide Receiver

In Tyrell Williams, the Raiders got solid production early on in 2019, as he hauled in a touchdown pass in each of the team’s first three games. The problem from then on was that he struggled to stay healthy, and after missing time during the 2019 campaign, he was ruled out of 2020 due to a torn labrum.

After drafting Henry Ruggs III, Bryan Edwards, and Hunter Renfrow the last two years, the franchise has enough talent atop the depth chart to move on from Williams. Though still a productive player, Williams is scheduled to earn $11.6 million next season, and cutting him would actually not cost the Silver and Black a dime of it.

Unfortunately for Williams, there is enough talent on the depth chart now that unless he takes a pay cut next season, I do not see him returning. Guys like Ruggs, Edwards, and Renfrow are young players who are just starting to reach their potential, and nobody can question that Nelson Agholor has been outstanding when given his chances this season.
