Devontae Booker

Maybe this Mike Mayock guy knows what he’s doing.  This was another signing that was questioned by Raiders fans because he simply was not that good during his time in with the Denver Broncos, but he has also done well with the team.

Devontae Booker has been very effective while Josh Jacobs is off the field, and was actually the better running back this past Sunday in the Raiders upset win against the Chiefs.  He had the longest rush of the game for either team when he broke through the line of scrimmage for a 43-yard rush, and averaged an astonishing 8.9 yards per carry.

This is another player who may end up earning himself a contract extension, and we are going to see him in the game plan more going forward as Jon Gruden said earlier this week. Keeping Jacobs healthy is a big priority for this team as they head towards the second half of the season, and Booker blend of speed, power, and catching ability will enable them to give him more rest during games.
