5 biggest disappointments for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020

Erik Harris, Safety

Erik Harris was a pleasant surprise in 2019, but that does not mean he should have been named the starter in 2020. Harris has been a clear liability for the Raiders so far this season, giving up a number of big plays game after game.

There has been no question that Harris has been the Raiders worst of the starting defensive backs, which became even more clear when Jeff Heath replaced him against Kansas City and made an immediate impact. Heath made an immediate impact, picking off Patrick Mahomes late in the game, helping the Raiders seal an important AFC West battle.

Harris looks lost on the field, blowing his assignments, not keeping up with receivers, and missing tackles on ball carriers. Either Harris is going to have to step up his game big time, or we may not be seeing him on the field much anymore. Luckily, he is an elite special teams guy, so that may be the way he can make his biggest contribution going forward.
