5 biggest disappointments for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020

Paul Guenther, Defensive Coordinator

The Raiders defense has been a disaster in the majority of games this season, allowing 30.4 points per game, rankings as one of the worst in the NFL. On top of that, the Raiders are allowing 4.8 yards per carry (bottom ten in the NFL), ten rushing touchdowns (tied for last), and only have three interceptions (bottom ten).

Paul Guenther has arguably been the biggest disappointment for the Raiders so far, as he may have saved his job with the second half showing against Kansas City. The Raiders offense is firing on all cylinders, but it does not matter how well they do if the defense is allowing over 30 points every game.

The Raiders spent a lot of money on the defense this offseason, and it does not appear that many of those players are working out. At some point, the issue may not be the players that we have, but the person who is putting them in those positions to fail who is at fault.
