Las Vegas Raiders fantasy outlook: 2020 Week 7 Sit ‘Em or Start ‘Em

QB Derek Carr – Start ‘Em

Derek Carr is coming off his best statistical performance of the year against the Kansas City Chiefs as he shredded one of the best defenses in the league for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns with an early interception being the lone blemish. That performance put Carr in the top 10 for QBs in Week 5 and helped him continue to build on an excellent statistical season.

This week Carr faces a Tampa Bay defense that is giving up the fourth fewest points to opposing QBs so far this season and that includes some big names like Drew Brees and more recently Aaron Rodgers. They held Rodgers to a 45% completion percentage, 160 passing yards, and two interceptions including a pick-six which swung the game early on.

Carr will have to be at his best against this swarming Bucs defense that has 22 sacks through their first 6 games and are 5th in passing touchdowns allowed. Most of the offensive line should be healthy enough for Sunday with the exception of Richie Incognito and all of Carr’s weapons should be back except for rookie Bryan Edwards.

He still has plenty of firepower through Henry Ruggs, Darren Waller, Josh Jacobs, and all the others that have the ability to cause fits for the Bucs defense. If the offensive line can keep the Bucs pass rush away from Carr then we can expect another solid outing from the veteran QB.
