Las Vegas Raiders X-Factors against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7

Henry Ruggs III

The Raiders are 3-2 going into this game against the Buccaneers, and all three wins came in games where Henry Ruggs III was on the field. Though his first two games against the Panthers and the Saints were disappointing when it comes to the stat sheet, there is no doubt what he brings to this offense even without the ball in his hands.

Teams have to worry about his 4.2 speed, in turn playing softer on the back end and opening up lanes for other receivers in the short to intermediate ranges.

Tampa Bay has a very talented defensive backs unit though. Carlton Davis already has three interceptions this year, and rookie strong safety Antoine Winfield Jr. is a feisty, rangy player who was one of the top safeties coming out of this years 2020 NFL Draft.

The Raiders are going to have to get creative in the passing game to try and throw off this talented, young secondary unit for the Buccaneers. The first thing they need to start with in that regards is getting Henry Ruggs III into favorable matchups and running him all over the field.

If safeties and corners are worried about him blowing the top off their defense, or trying to chase him all around the field between the hash marks, it will open up every other aspect and avenue Jon Gruden has within this potent Raiders offense.
