Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Las Vegas Raiders: 3 players to watch in Week 7

Henry Ruggs III

It’s a tough task to put so much pressure on a rookie, but Henry Ruggs III has shown he has the talent beyond his years. Ruggs is providing a vertical threat that Derek Carr has probably never had in seven seasons as a Raider, and he dialed him up a few times against Kansas City.

Ruggs showed his ability to take the lid off a defense in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs, torching them for over 100 yards and a touchdown. He may have only caught two passes, but his big play ability is essential to victory, and forces teams to change their gameplan.

Evidence of this was his 72-yard touchdown reception in Week 5, where he basically outran the Chiefs defense. Ruggs at full health now will be looked upon even more often vs the Bucs. For the Raiders to have any chance, expect to see Carr go deep to Ruggs more than just a few times this week. And with his world class speed, expect Ruggs to be more than up to the challenge.
