5 players the Las Vegas Raiders should trade for before trade deadline

Although this is by far the most unlikely trade on the list, the Patriots did shop Stephon Gilmore in the offseason, and at 2-3, the team may be looking to make some changes to benefit them in the future. Gilmore may be the best cornerback in the NFL, but a trade would get the Patriots a lot of draft capital and save them a ton of cap space as Belichick looks to continue to revamp this roster.

The Raiders, on the other hand, could completely turn their defense around with this trade, and although they have Trayvon Mullen and Damon Arnette, Gilmore is a player that is almost impossible to pass up on. The team would have to make some changes to get more cap space, but this trade is not impossible to make, but would cost Las Vegas two top picks.

Gilmore would cost the team a lot, maybe even more than projected above, but the odds of finding a player better than Gilmore in the draft is slim to none. This trade scenario is more wishful thinking than anything, but is one that would take the Raiders defense to the next level, and we have already seen the offense take a major step forward in 2020.
