Should the NFL postpone Las Vegas Raiders vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
Postpone the game until Monday Night
They NFL can’t say they are serious about player safety but then force the Raiders to play without their entire starting offensive line. The Raiders would have no chance of winning against an already tough opponent and Bucs Defensive Coordinator would blitz the backup linemen into another dimension.
The Raiders couldn’t leave their franchise quarterback behind a line like that and the game turns into a scrimmage for the Buccaneers. The product that the NFL is putting on suffers and as a result their bottom line suffers. Only die hard fans would watch a game like that in its entirety.
Now if the game is postponed until Monday, they give the Raiders offensive line a better chance to be cleared before the game and then the NFL gets to reap the benefits of another Monday night double header, the early Monday Night games have been racking up viewership and that means commercial revenue for the league.
Not to mention the league would then be more consistent, at least to the outside observer, about how they handled positive tests.
