The Las Vegas Raiders were beaten soundly by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, here are 4 things we learned from the Week 7 matchup.
The Las Vegas Raiders had one hell of a week coming into the matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The week began with a report of Pro Bowl RT Trent Brown being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus and being ruled out for Week 7.
That would have been enough to ruin the week given his importance against Tampa’s defensive line but the bad news continued as all 4 other starting offensive lineman had to quarantine after coming in to close contact with Brown at practice on Monday. They could not practice all week and were only ruled eligible to play on Sunday morning.
To add to this, starting safety Johnathan Abram was ruled out after coming in contact with Brown on Tuesday and could not play in Sunday’s game.
All of this culminated in a loss to the Buccaneers on both sides of the ball that surely would not have been so bad with two of the Raiders’ better players in the lineup. Despite the whirlwind week for the Silver and Black they hung tough with the Bucs for most Sunday’s game and the final score was not quite indicative of what happened in the game.
