The Las Vegas Raiders defensive line and pass rush needs some help and here are 4 players that may be available who could make a difference

The Las Vegas Raiders have had not much success with their defensive line this season despite investing in a new position coach and a few players who made big impacts in their previous stops. D-Line coach Rod Marinelli was supposed to be an upgrade over Brentson Buckner but the position group appears to have regressed in every single category.

The Raiders also went out in free agency and signed Carl Nassib to a 3-year $25 million deal but he has responded with just 0.5 sacks and 12 tackles in six games. Nassib is also not seeing the field much as he has played in just 31% of the defensive snaps so far and the team has provided no explanation as to why his snap count is so low.

Maliek Collins, the other free agent addition, has been a relative no show this year when healthy but has also missed time through injury. Collins was supposed to anchor the interior of the defensive line but has been outplayed by Mo Hurst all season. Most recently the Raiders added another free agent in David Irving who has not played since 2018 so the jury is out on what he can bring to the table.

Now that we are getting to the halfway point of the season, several teams are looking to offload players now that their playoff hopes are dashed but the Raiders are still in the mix and should be buyers in this market. One player won’t solve all of the issues on the defensive line but there are several out there on the trade market who would be an immediate upgrade.
