4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Cleveland Browns in Week 8

Trayvon Mullen vs Jarvis Landry

One bright spot on the defense this season has been cornerback Trayvon Mullen, who has done a great job of covering the best receiver on opposing teams. Unfortunately for this defense, the corners on the other side have not being doing so well, which is what makes the absence of OBJ so important.

If Mullen was guarding Odell Beckham Jr, Jarvis Landry would be free to do whatever he wanted on the other side of the field, likely resulting in big plays and a lot of points. Luckily for Las Vegas, that will not be the case in this matchup. Trayvon Mullen will follow Jarvis Landry all over the field, and should be able to contain him, if not shut him down.

If Baker Mayfield cannot find Landry open, and does not have OBJ to throw to, there is a better chance for the Raiders to get sacks, pressure, or maybe even force Mayfield to make a mistake and turn the ball over. Cleveland will also likely be without tight end Austin Hooper, so Mayfield will have to make due with who is available Sunday.
