4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Cleveland Browns in Week 8

Gruden’s ability to isolate Myles Garrett

One thing that the offense does well that gets overlooked is shutting down the best pass rusher on opposing defenses. The best example of this was last year against the Chicago Bears, where the Raiders used tight ends to bump and help block Khalil Mack.

The Raiders will likely have the same approach against Myles Garrett as they have against players such as Mack and Von Miller. If the Raiders are without Trent Brown again, this task will be a difficult one to achieve, but I believe that Jon Gruden will come up with a game plan that keeps Myles Garrett away from Derek Carr.

Hopefully this game plan involves getting the ball to Henry Ruggs quickly, something I thought would be the main point of the offense last week. Garrett is a special talent, and was nursing an ankle issue this week, but all signs point to him being ready to go in Week 8.
