Why are the Las Vegas Raiders not making any trades?

The Raiders have a young defensive line that they want to develop, but they are not doing a good job of it. Maxx Crosby is doing a great job for the team, but he could use a ton of help on the other side of the line. It does not seem like the team knows what position Clelin Ferrell is supposed to play, and although he has improved, 4.5 sacks in one and a half seasons, including zero in this season, is not anywhere close to enough from a fourth overall pick.

The real only other bright spot for the Raiders defensive line is Maurice Hurst, who for some reason is not getting enough snaps and is not starting even though he has proven to be the teams best interior defensive lineman, so the excuse of wanting to develop the young players does not make much sense.

The addition of Everson Griffin or Carlos Dunlap would not hurt the progression of the Raiders young players, it would actually probably make them better. The Raiders have a quarterback in the prime of his career who is playing great football and scoring points, a young running back who has proven to being one of the best in the league, and a top three tight end, all being wasted talent because the Raiders cannot stop opposing offenses because they are too stubborn to build upon their defensive line.

The front office needs to make something happen, or else the Raiders are going to continue to give up a ton of points to opposing teams, and even if Derek Carr scored 30 points a game, it will not be enough to ever be a Super Bowl contender. The Tampa Bay game was a real indication of what elite quarterbacks will be able to do against this team with time in the pocket, which should have forced Mike Mayock to run to his phone.
