Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is having a special season, and he should have a monster game against Cleveland this Sunday.

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is having a season this year that is based around silencing all of his doubters. Whether it was him not being able to throw downfield, he doesn’t make plays with his feet, or he cannot win in Arrowhead, he has done nothing but put his head down and prove people wrong.

On Sunday, he will have another opportunity to do just that, as the Raiders invade FirstEnergy Stadium for a matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The temperature will be low, and the precipitation will be high, so it will be another chance for him to show he can win in the cold against a solid football team.

Cleveland is ranked 30th in pass defense

Cleveland comes into this game with one of the worst pass defenses in the league, and that has to be music to Carr’s ears. The seventh-year starter has utilized the many weapons he has on offense to put together a fantastic 2020 campaign already, throwing for over 70 percent of his passes once again, while tossing 13 touchdowns to only two interceptions.

With Henry Ruggs III back in the lineup, and guys like Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow, and Nelson Agholor having solid season in the passing game, Carr will have no shortage of options on Sunday. Of course, the Browns have a dynamic edge rusher in Myles Garrett, but he has been hobbled with an ankle injury this week in practice, though he will be ready to go for the game.

Based on how Carr has played this season, taking shots downfield, while also punishing teams across the middle and on checkdowns, he should find some easy sledding against this Browns defense on Sunday. This could be a game where he goes well over 300 yards passing, which would be the third time in the last four games he has accomplished that feat.
