Quarterback Baker Mayfield and Wide Receiver Jarvis Landry

The Cleveland Browns took quarterback Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, and after a record-breaking rookie season, he has had his ups and downs. In fact, heading into last week’s five-touchdown performance against Cincinnati, questions were being asked as to whether or not he was the long-term answer in Cleveland.

For at least one week, Mayfield silenced his critics, and will be looking to build off that against a Raiders defense that certainly has their issues. The Raiders need to be aware of Mayfield’s ability to make plays with his arm, and his legs, but he will be without his top wide receiever this weekend.

While OBJ will be out, Jarvis Landry will not, and you can expect him to be the No. 1 option in the passing game against a Raiders secondary that struggled mightily this season. Johnathan Abram returns, and Trayvon Mullen is a legitimate CB1, so the team is healthier than last week, but you can expect Landry to be targeted early and often, likely setting a season-high in targets.
