In the only AFC West matchup on the slate in Week 8, the Los Angeles Chargers head to Denver to take on Drew Lock and the Broncos.

We are officially in Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season, and the Kansas City Chiefs once again hold first place in the AFC West. Heading into this Sunday’s slate of games, KC has some easy sledding against the Jets, there is an AFC West battle between Denver and Los Angeles, and the Raiders head East again.

Here are our predictions for the AFC West slate in Week 8.

Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos

In the only AFC West battle on the slate in Week 8, the Los Angeles Chargers will head to Denver to take on the Broncos. Both teams come into this game sporting 2-4 records, but the Chargers are coming off a win, as rookie quarterback Justin Herbert got his first NFL win against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While these two teams are pretty well matched, I like the Chargers to come away with a crucial AFC West road win on Sunday. Herbert is playing at a very high level right now, and it looks like the Broncos offense is just stagnant at this point with Drew Lock under center.

Prediction: Chargers 21, Broncos 17
