Looking ahead to the Los Angeles Chargers
Next up for the Las Vegas Raiders is a trip just a few hours south to face the Los Angeles Chargers. We can be sure that there won’t be 40 degree weather in sunny Los Angeles and even if there is some rain, SoFi Stadium has a lovely roof to keep out the elements.
The Chargers started off the season 1-4 and are now 2-4 but all of their losses have been one possession games. With better luck the Chargers could have a similar record to the Raiders and have a chance to go 3-4 if they can beat the Denver Broncos on the road.
LA’s switch to Justin Herbert has been a massive success as the young rookie has been fearless with his arm and his legs and is not scared to go deep to his group of big and speedy wide receivers. They are missing some key pieces on offense and defense but they have enough stars like Joey Bosa and Keenan Allen to stay in every game.
This game will be the Raiders’ second division matchup of the year and will be a massive test for both the offense and defense. It will also be the first of three AFC West games for the Raiders as they face Denver and Kansas City in Las Vegas in Weeks 10 and 11.
The Raiders have shown they can win shootouts and today showed they can win by punching opponents right in the mouth in freezing cold weather. Hopefully they cna build off this momentum and keep the good vibes going in Las Vegas.
