Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns: 3 things we learned in Week 8

Josh Jacobs Is Back

Josh Jacobs had come into this year with high regard, which was well earned after an incredible rookie season that should have landed him the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year honor.  Yet, he had struggled some this year especially when it came to his yards per carry, but teams were stacking the box against him.

Jacobs was a beast last year when it came to yards after contact, and in this game, he looked as strong and explosive as we’ve seen in some time, as the Raiders rode his back due to the weather conditions and Jacobs didn’t let them down.  This was his first game this season with over a hundred yards rushing, and it came still without two of our starting lineman as Richie Incognito is still out and Trent Brown had to be rushed to the hospital before the game due a a mishap with his IV.

Of course, as the Raiders get healthier things, the running lanes should be easier for Jacobs, but he made his own lanes on Sunday. It was the of old school rushing performance that just beats up a defense, and for the Raiders, it was the perfect recipe for a monster road win in Week 8.
