The Las Vegas Raiders face a solid young quarterback in Justin Herbert on Sunday, and the hope is that the secondary could be at 100 percent.

In Week 9, the Las Vegas Raiders will look to move to 2-0 in the AFC West when they head to SoFi Stadium to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Last season, the Raiders were able to frustrate Chargers veteran quarterback Philip Rivers, sweeping the two-game set for the first time since the 2016 season.

This season, the Chargers have a new man under center, and the rookie, Justin Herbert, has looked outstanding through his first six NFL starts. While he currently posts a 1-5 record, the losses have not been on him, as he has thrown for 300 yards three times, and already has four games with at least three touchdown passes.

On Sunday, the expectation is that Herbert will try to exploit a Raiders secondary that has been a roller coaster ride this season, though they are getting healthier.

Las Vegas got Johnathan Abram back in Week 8, and he was all the difference in the passing game, as he not only was tough in coverage, but also played a big role in the blitz packages. He is the Alpha in this middle of this Raiders defensive backfield, and is only going to get better with experience.
